Celebrate World Helicopter Day by visiting the largest Helicopter Collection in the World!!
With over 90 full size helicopters on display there is an aircraft for everyone, whether it be the Queen’s very own Royal Flight Wessex, the Worlds oldest surviving helicopter or the fastest helicopter in the world, G-LYNX.
All are here on public display. For one day only several of our display aircraft will be open to the public for open cockpit access including our Vietnam Huey, Lynx and Russian Hind Gunship. This is a chance to sit behind the controls of one of the worlds most powerful and aggressive flying machines.
Also during the day we have Air/Sea Rescue talks and demonstrations from our in-house expert, guided tours available and even actual helicopter flights over the picturesque Somerset Coastline in a Jetranger helicopter.
Refreshments and free parking on site.
Watch large screen rotor action in the museum’s film theatre.
Test your own flying skills without leaving the ground on the museum’s flight simulator, do you have what it takes to fly a helicopter?
