Take a front seat ride in a AH-1 Bell Cobra on World Helicopter Day for an experience you’ll never forget.

The 38th Annual Wings Over Camarillo Air Show, Car Show and Festival is excited to host a number of rotary wing displays and flights as part of this year’s event.

Gates open at 9am with air show performances from noon to 4:30pm both days.

Helicopter rides for the public will be avaliable at the show through Orbic Helicopters. The Arizona Chapter of The Army Aviation Heritage Foundation will have a Cobra helicopter onsite offering the chance to fly in the front seat. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Air Unit will be demonstrating their Air Drop and Firefighting capabilities as part of the airshow flying schedule.

Static displays will include Bell UH-1Y & AH-1Z of the US Marine Corp and the US Coast Guard will be present with one of their HH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopters.

A full airshow program also includes fixed-wing displays with a WWII contingent of aircraft, live music stages, food trucks, craft beer and classic cars parade.

To share the passion of aviation with the next generation, WOC will also include an enhanced STEM Pavilion with local school robotic teams competing for prizes and hands-on kid’s zone. We continue to Salute our Ventura County veterans and active duty military personal at the Veterans Hangar.

Note: This video was the 2015 show and Redbull is not confirmed for 2018.

Our community faced incredible challenges this past year during the Thomas Fire and mudslides that followed, and WOC will honor those who helped keep us safe as the theme for 2018, “A Special Tribute to Firefighters.” Serving as the 2018 Grand Marshal will be Ventura County Fire Chief Mark Lorenzen. A limited edition patch will be sold as a fundraiser for The Ventura County Widows and Orphans & Assistance Fund.

The all-volunteer, nonprofit Camarillo Wings Association (CWA) hosts the show, and net profits go to local nonprofit groups that promote youth in science and aviation. With aerobatics, helicopter & aircraft rides, food vendors, and more, the Camarillo Air Show has something for everyone!

Kids 6 and under are free, and parking on site is also free.
